Dirt Track racing seems to be growing in the custom bike builders scene. No wonder – these bikes are lightweight as the scramblers or offroad bikes tend to be, but they are also lower and more proportional regarding the design.
If You check the builder’s portfolio, they seem to be hooked to the style
This Yamaha YZ450F is a pretty rare machine. A powerful modern dirt bike. And in this case – it got the retro mod it deserved. Despite the flat track rules, Hombrese Bikes decided not to get rid of the front brakes, and despite their rather modest size – I think it was a wise choice.
So the classic tank was applied to a lightweight frame. Custom made seat completed the backbone of the bike, which created a clean straight line. Yellow Yamaha colour with iconic black stripe paint job makes sure You won’t mistake the Yamaha with any other Japanese machine.
The suspension was massively lowered. Just check out the stock version of YZ – the difference is enormous. On top of that, clearance was further reduced by an under the engine exhaust. The looks are perfect – the practicality… well…
