This is not a typical post I like to feature. But the news is essential. When I saw this thing during press release from 2018 EICMA – I knew I had my new laptop wallpaper. But I was sceptical, as this was only a concept bike.
When yesterday MV Agusta officially confirmed that this bike will be available to buy – and I was disappointed… that I won’t be able to afford one. But at least – It is a really nice addition to the motorcycle bucket list 🙂 Maybe someday…
But at least I can have it here, in my own part of the Internet.
MV Agusta is a premium brand. A brand that is really rare on the streets, and often they make the Ducati feel affordable when You check MV Agusta’s pricing. They created a niche that is well established in the “racing” segment. Superveloce is a brilliant addition to their product catalogue. Something that no other brand offered before – a high tech racing machine, but with vintage and retro look.
Let’s start with the technical specs:
This is the most important attribute of this bike. Fashion for retro is strong. All brands are reinventing the classic style wherever they can. But so far no one tried to release anything remotely close to this motorcycle. The sportbikes were left alone, in their chase for perfection with carbon fibre and LED lighting. Superveloce has all this, but it is packed with vintage looks and clean lines. And who would have done it if not the Italians? Superveloce looks spectacular because it relates to sport bikes heritage.
The lines of the Superveloce 800 Serie Oro are a modern interpretation of the iconic stylistic concept of the MV Agusta. A fusion of vintage and contemporary ensures that the future incorporates the memories of good times gone by: 37 world titles, legendary victories, challenges that required going beyond the possible. Live the emotions that helped to create the Meccanica Verghera legend.
There will be only 300 of Superveloce 800 Serie Oro released. The preorder is available now. The delivery dates are estimated to be around March 2020.
Go to mvagusta.com to find more info or contact Your local MV Agusta dealer. The price will be around 28000 USD. It’s costly, considering the technical specs. But becoming an owner of 1 of 300 series is worth a lot, especially when we talk about this Italian brand.
