Triumph T100 by Persist Motorcycles and Cowboy’s Chopper

Triumph Bonneville is a surprisingly tricky donor bike to modify… It seems like a perfect machine when stock. Upgrades tend to preserve the original look of the motorcycle. Is this why it’s so rarely featured here? It is still quite surprising for me, as this model is one of the most recognisable and beautiful classics of all times. Or maybe I haven’t figured it out yet. But this build is an example that sometimes it just clicks. I bumped into this motorcycle by accident, and I love it.

This is a 2008 Triumph T100

It has this retro vibe to it. I can see some classic bobber inspirations in it. But I don’t think that’s the only thing that was on builders mind. Well… The Bonnie as it was released in 1959 seems quite old-fashioned by its heritage. This build seems also inspired by an earlier era of motorcycling.

Use of rounded exhaust pipes with brass / golden details seem like taken straight from the ’30s or ’40s. The matte paint resembles the legendary “British Racing Green”. Handlebar and headlight fit the style. Wheels are naturally 18 inches, chromed classic spokes. The only thing that’s missing is massive fenders (including the front one with a licence plate placed vertically) and some longer tail.

It seems like there are more and more builds coming from various parts of Asia. And if they’ll come in this style – I’d love to see more. This build was a collaboration of Taiwan’s Persist Motorcycles and Cowboy’s Chopper. And the result is a Bonnie that stands out from the crowd.
