Ducati Monster “Tarantula” by Black Sheep Garage

This Ducati Monster 620 was rebuilt for Tomasz Źródłowski, who is one of the best bartenders in Poland. When he’s not competing in the Havana Grand Prix, he works in a well-known drink bar in Cracow – Mercy Brown. Why am I mentioning this?

This motorcycle will be displayed in this bar

Considering the level of sophistication of the interiors and target clientele there was hardly any other choice than go with Italian style. The owner trusted the team from Black Sheep Garage giving only basic instructions:

This is my Ducati, I want a cafe racer – surprise me

BSG after the initial research (consideration of target style, rider height, clothing style and the exposition place – they decided to go minimalistic and retro. The imagined scene, of a gentleman, leaving the Mercy Brown bar, putting on some classic Bell helmet, starting the iconic L-Twin engine… and riding away on a  stylish cafe racer, played a part here. As I don’t quite get the “leaving the bar, and driving away” concept, I’m completely on board on the styling choices. I’m not the biggest Monster fan, but I like the way this thing presents itself.

Black and brown leather with golden details always work

Having achieved the general line and proportions, the team decided to go with modern accessories. This is where the nickname “The Tarantula” comes from. The front headlight is LED with multiple lenses, which resemble the spider’s eyes.

The whole motorcycle was renovated. Stripped down, disassembled, put back together using new parts and serviced. What is surprising – engine was not rebuilt – as there was absolutely no issue with it. Another Ducati got a fresh look and a new life.

Stay tuned for another Ducati from Black Sheep Garage – the 900SS.
