Macco Motors are one of my favorites. They specialize in Triumphs. But I remember them because of their take on the Suzuki Katana – “Iron Fist”. A build that inspired my interest in this model. And it ended up with finishing one last year. So I visit them quite often.
And this time, again I found something worth publishing… Yes, I know. I can’t help it. I keep posting muscle bikes… This time it’s a Yamaha XJR 1300 “Big Blue”… I promise myself every time to bring balance to this blog. To write about more diverse motorcycle types, engine sizes… It’s the last time (fingers crossed) – as I really like this build 🙂
So – it’s a classic naked with some performance and styling mods. Actually, it’s a pretty standard setup: R1 front fork swap, front headlight change for a smaller version, custom seat (is this a seat from a Cafe Racer version? Definitely inspired by one), new paint, TRW handlebars and some bar-end mirrors… Ohlins used to come standard in XJR but I don’t think these two are stock… Plus nice titanium exhaust wrap, matte black mufflers.
The only thing I would do differently is the plastic side covers change. I’d make some custom mesh or metal part that would be more horizontal. But anyway – it’s a real eye candy.
Enjoy the photos.
Or maybe You like number 52 more?
