Kawasaki Zephyr needs no introduction. Good looking neo-classic that evolved into a muscle bike:  ZRX. Which in R version – that I own – has a lifetime with me. So I’m naturally sentimental regarding this particular line of Kawasaki naked bikes.

This build, based on 1992 Kawasaki Zephyr 750 is special for a couple of reasons. Not just that its candy green paint grabs the attention.

The bodywork…

is a monocoque. Meaning the fairing, tank and seat – are one piece. All handmade, shaped steel. If You visit the November Customs website – You can see more of “work in progress” photos… that prove how the concept evolved. Cafe Racers and Endurance bikes inspired general shape and line. I like the effect achieved, but I somehow can’t resist an impression that it reminds me of the new Z900RS Cafe version. Regardless of that – it wears true Kawasaki colours.

The mods

I’m stunned by how much brands participated in this build. Beautiful spoked wheels come from Triumph Thruxton. Brake discs from 675. Front forks were swapped using custom-made yokes from Ducati 848. Clip-ons come from 748. Callipers and master cylinder comes from Aprilia. Rear swing arm comes from CB900. And rear shocks are YSS.

What is the most impressive, is the mechanical Anti-Dive system. Designed by the builders… I’ve never seen anything like this connected with modern forks. I need to find out more about this type of modifications:)

What I would change is the rear end. Since the front is full-on performance setup – I’d go for something more fitting regarding the back end, meaning modern aluminium swingarm and piggyback shocks.

Enjoy the photos, and visit the builder’s website (link below).
